In 2010 I was fortunate enough to visit Point England and Tamaki College as part of the Westland ICT project. I was excited and inspired by the impact that Manaiakalani had on the students learning and wanted to be part of it. Unfortunately the school that I was working in did not opt into Toki Pounamu so I made changes to my career to be part of this inspiring program.
Today there were so many tips and ideas to enhance my teaching and learning. I have made a document in one of the sessions today that will ensure I utilise all of this new learning by sharing three ideas with my colleagues and implement at least two ideas in my classroom.
It was great to have you in the DFI Kate and I'm sure your 2010 visit will resonate with what you are learning over the next 9 weeks. I am most impressed with your Google Doc and to see what and with whom you will be sharing your new knowledge. I look forward with interest to see the spin off within your team of teachers.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kate for your great work. I developed your wonderful idea of a continuing doc to keep my learning in one place as I haven't got a specific class. It is great to see you being able to immerse yourself in an education setting where you are able to use and share your digital passion.
